Lang Co Beach is approximately 10 kilometers long with white sandy beach and shallow water. It is considered one of the most impressive beaches in the central area. The best time to visit is between April and July.
Situated on the bank of the Perfume River, the pagoda was built by Lord Nguyen Hoang in 1601 in a belief that it would bring prosperity to the country. The pagoda was severely damaged in 1943 and underwent renovation for 30 years.
A three story structure that serves as a main entrance to the Imperial City, there are a total of 5 gates to Ngo Mon with a central gate being reserved for kings only. Two adjacent gates were exclusively for court officials and the other two were used by servants and royal family entourage. During the reign of the Nguyen Dynasty, Ngo Mon Gate was only opened to receive foreign ambassadors and for kings to pass by.
Hue is a final resting place for eight Nguyen Kings. Construction of the tombs was very meticulous and began while the kings were alive. Each tomb consists of two complexes and enclosed in a rampart called “La Thanh”. The first is reserved for funeral services and the second is used as the actual burial site. The tombs are arranged differently depending on each king’s personality and tastes.
Situated on the bank of Perfume River, it is on Duong Xuan Mountain. The construction took 19 years to complete and was called Tomb of Modesty. The complex is enclosed by a thick wall following the contour of the hill. Tu Duc Tomb is not only one of the most beautiful works of the royal architecture of the Nguyen Dynasty, it also paints a romantic picture of mountains and lakes.
Located on top of Chau E Mountain, the tomb resembles a magnificent palace perched on a slope of a limestone mountain. Unlike the construction material used on other tombs, Khai Dinh Tomb uses modern materials such as reinforced concrete and steel and decorated with porcelain.
